The Ndoto Project was born from a collaboration between Pie and the late Kenyan photographer Migwa Nthiga, who travelled together to Northern Kenya to live with the Samburu community. Supported by the Milgis Trust, the project sought to learn from and reflect on the Samburu’s deep connection to the land and their adaptive strategies in the face of climate change.
The project culminated in a dual exhibition at Matbronze Gallery in Nairobi, November 2022, celebrating Samburu resilience, environmental wisdom, and Migwa’s lasting impact. Proceeds from the exhibition contributed to the vital conservation efforts of the Milgis Trust.
